Tilapia, trout, catfish, and perch thrive in recirculating tank systems. Their biological waste — primarily ammonia — becomes the fuel that feeds the entire system.
Water circulates continuously from fish tanks through filtration and grow beds. No water is wasted — up to 90% less than traditional agriculture. Gravity and pumps keep the cycle moving.
Nitrosomonas and Nitrobacter bacteria colonize the grow media and biofilter. They convert toxic ammonia into nitrites, then into nitrates — the plant-available form of nitrogen.
Roots suspended in or flooded with nutrient-rich water absorb nitrates directly. No soil. No tilling. Plants grow up to 4× faster than soil agriculture with consistent yields year-round.
The result is pesticide-free, fresh produce and protein — grown and distributed locally. Every harvest feeds families while the cycle resets and begins again.
